Insanity is someone who repeats the same act expecting different results. In the times of Noah, this is what the society did. They couldn’t embrace it. They were committing themselves to one another and not to God. Noah lived in a day in which man is graphically described as “wicked” and when “every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Genesis 6:5). In the Old Testament, the word fool is actually a translation of five different Hebrew words that reflect subtle differences in “types” of fools. They are as follows:
1. simple fool – pethîy (peth-EE), “extreme vulnerability; to be opened up.” One who lacks discernment, opening his mind to any passing thought and opens his arms to any passing stranger.
2. silly fool -’eviyl (ev-EEL), “to be perverse, silly.” The mouth of a silly fool often gets him in trouble. Argument, persuasion, and advice from well-meaning friends fail to convince silly fools of error.
3. sensual fool – kecîyl (kess-EEL), “fat, i.e. stupid or silly.” He glories in that of which he should be ashamed, unreasonable, making the wrong choices.
4. scorning fool – lûwts (loots), “to make mouths at, i.e. to scoff.” His facial expressions communicate the dislike and disrespect he has in his heart toward his authorities, including parents, civil authorities, and God; detesting people and ideas that contradict his false thinking, and expressing his scorn through derisive attitudes, behavior, and speech.
5. steadfast fools – nâbâl (naw-BAWL), “stupid, wicked.” The most dangerous type of a fool. He totally rejects God and His ways. His goal is to draw as many others as possible into his evil ways.
When we observe our country today with the insanity of events unfolding right before our eyes, we can see the characteristics of many fools being played out. And unfortunately many of you have turned away from God, living like fools, many of you have fallen, becoming like the society in the days of Noah. You have been deceived, believing that your ways of living are good and are right, not realizing that your way of thinking, your beliefs, are slowly changing your hearts and allowing the spirit of the anti-christ to manifest within you. When we took God out of our lives and out of our society, chaos (insanity) set in. Look around, watch the news, read the headlines, we as a society are heading towards one world government with blinders on. God is slow to anger yes, but as in the time of Noah, God’s long-suffering came to an end. When Noah and his family entered the ark, God shut the door forever on that society. It was over for them. The end of that generation because they chose to turn their backs on God and to live their lives as they saw fit. How many of you are living this way today? But the good news was that there was hope in that ark, a symbol, “of being in Christ,” for their salvation. Noah, being a righteous man, and his family who believed wholeheartedly in God, were willing to go by blind-faith into an unknown future. Let’s pause for a moment and give all glory to God for His grace and mercy on them! Now, heed this warning! It’s not too late for you to turn back to God and to follow Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, but I do want to warn you that time is running out and God is getting ready to shut the door forever on humanity as it is. Come to Christ now if you do not have Him in your life and, if you have accepted Him as your Lord and Savior already, then please re-examine yourselves. Ask yourself these very simple questions, “Am I living my life as a disciple of Jesus Christ and is God top priority in my day to day living or am I still living my life as I see fit, making choices that are not of God, going against His will for the life He created for me? Listen, we all are in a war with our minds, a spiritual battle. It can be a good thing to the believer in Christ because we know that God is still with us and that the Holy Spirit is leading us through our daily warfare with discernment. His word stands firm and victorious in this daily spiritual battle. The true believer knows this because God is always in his thoughts. When you have no battle in your mind – “beware” because this is the spirit of the anti-christ and God is not in your thoughts. He is not first in your life. This is how the anti-christ is setting up the stage for one world government. He is prepping your mind/thoughts to be accepting of his ways and his beliefs so that he will be welcomed with open arms when he comes on the scene. I tell you this because I pray that you don’t be like Belshazzar in Daniel chapter 5 of the Bible, who was doing what he wanted to do, partying and full of pride, failing to honor the God of Israel while blaspheming against God until he was caught off-guard and shocked into reality. But unfortunately for him, it was too late, as the wrath of God came like a thief in the night because Belshazzar’s lamp was not full and he had become a fool. God is calling you now to conform to Him. Turn away for your foolish ways, make no deals with the devil and cry out to God and repent of your sins, asking for forgiveness. Start going to church so that you can be in fellowship with other believers and be renewed with the Holy Spirit. Read your bible everyday so that you can be fed with His word so that you can “be armed” against the spiritual attacks of the spirit of the anti-christ, our enemy; God’s enemy. Take every thought captive. Pray boldly for yourselves, your family and friends, your leaders, the church, your cities, your country, never ceasing, being earnest and persistent, holding steadfast to His promises, while filling your lamps with oil. Get yourselves prepared. We’ve already won the war, but we still have to fight. It’s a matter of life and death! Don’t be fooled by a fool who wants nothing more but to make you his fool for eternity. I love you all and may God have mercy on us all.
